ViDEO: Dee Black’s “Style Free (Blackout)” Mixes Faith, Wordplay and Lyricism
Dee Black has been busy these last three months. He dropped two singles, “Rock (feat. Mission)” and “Good Day (feat. Eshon Burgundy and Jered Sanders)”. He continues the trend with a new drop “Style Free (Blackout)“. Style free is a play on words reversing the word free style. No hook, just bars! This Spotify exclusive track is 2 minutes of lyricism, wordplay and creativity.
The sense is that Christian Rap/Hip-Hop is void of the creative lyricism present in mainstream rap. Artists like Dee Black have focused on maintaining a high level of lyricism while sharing their faith.
