Trip Lee Returns with New Music: “You Got It”
It’s been a while since we heard from TRIP LEE, and he makes his return with a new video and single, “You Got It,” featured on the Summer ’21 Playlist presented by Reach Records. “The visuals pokes fun at the stereotypical inauthentic image that artists today are encouraged to promote,” shares Trip Lee.
Things don’t quite go quite like he expects and he questions, “Where else can I go?” The biblical verse 1 Timothy 6:10 comes to mind as you watch. “For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.”
While Lecrae is not featured on the song, he makes a surprise appearance and in character. Filmed in Atlanta and directed by Nathan “Dust” Corrona, this is the first time in over 5 years that Trip Lee has been in front of the video camera. On an IG post, he states, “I’ve really missed y’all!” Look for more music to come!
