Multi-award-winning Nigerian gospel artist Tim Godfrey has announced an exciting collaboration with renowned American gospel singer Israel Houghton—a full AfroGospel album is on the way!
Following the success of their latest release, “Glory”, which has been making waves, Tim Godfrey shared in an exclusive interview with the UK-based radio station Premier Gospel that they have recorded 10 additional AfroGospel tracks, bringing the total to 11 songs on this upcoming project.
“Israel is amazing. He’s such an awesome person, giving me more support than anyone else in America,” Godfrey revealed. “And guess what? We have recorded 10 more songs together, making it a full album! This is the first time I’m saying it publicly. They are all Afrobeats-inspired gospel songs, and we are now in the final mixing stage,” he added.
One of the songs from the project, “Glory”, was officially released on January 24, 2025. The track features AfroGospel sensation Greatman Takit and is a powerful song of adoration and exaltation. It incorporates an Afro-fusion sound while sampling the chorus of Israel Houghton & New Breed’s original worship anthem “Alpha & Omega”. The release is accompanied by a vibrant and visually stunning music video on YouTube.
Fans can expect a unique blend of African rhythms and uplifting gospel messages when the full album drops. Stay tuned!
