Thomas Iannucci – “Kuleana” (Paradise) ft. Seni
Hawaiian rapper Thomas Iannucci teams up with Tongan-American artist Seni, for “Kuleana” (Paradise), the title track from his forthcoming new project, due on December 3rd, 2019. The J Crum produced single addresses issues within Hawaii personal to both artists, as they break silence on the rampant drug addiction, suicide rate, and violence within the Nation.
“By the time we were 15, a lot of my friends were already deep into cocaine, pills, weed, and heavy drinking. By the time I was 18, I’d already lost loved ones to suicide, drunk driving, and jail. This is, unfortunately, a very common experience for those who grow up in Hawaii. I never thought anything of it until I was much older, and anyway we never really spoke about it. ….for the first time, I’m breaking my silence on what is really like in “paradise” with my braddah @smoovyseni – because it’s our kuleana, our responsibility, to do so” – Thomas Iannucci pens via an Instagram post, speaking on the new release.
