Internationally acclaimed worship leader and songwriter TAYA Gaukrodger (née Smith), known for her iconic voice on the platinum hit “Oceans” with Hillsong UNITED, has officially released her much-anticipated sophomore album, The Reminder. Now available across all major streaming platforms, this 12-track body of work stands as a heartfelt reflection of God’s unchanging faithfulness through life’s unpredictable seasons.
Produced by Austin Davis, The Reminder is more than just music—it’s a spiritual journey. The album features pre-released singles like “Worship!”, “One and Only”, “Simple Phrase”, “Come Into The Light”, and “Gonna Be Good.” Each track is a worship declaration designed to draw listeners into deeper communion with God, offering solace, perspective, and strength in uncertain times.
A Journey Marked by Surrender, Struggles & Soaring Faith
To announce the album, TAYA shared an emotional video on Instagram, pulling back the curtain on her deeply personal creative process. She revealed that the inspiration for The Reminder began on January 26, 2023, during a season of intentional fasting, prayer, and waiting on God. In a symbolic moment, a bluebird and soaring eagles caught her eye—ushering in the words “Eagle Soar” and confirming that God was near.
Over the next two years, TAYA would walk through a series of life-altering challenges including a career transition, motherhood, church heartbreak, and serious health struggles. Yet through it all, she says, God remained faithful—even when she and others were not.
“Maybe songs cause you again to see Jesus. The one who enables us to soar , and because he can not deny himself, he remains faithful through it all.”
A Record of Remembrance and Revival
In the post accompanying her album release, TAYA described The Reminder as an altar built in the desert—a place for spiritual travelers to pause, remember God’s goodness, and find hope again. She prayed the songs would inspire listeners to consecrate themselves afresh, trust in God’s providence, and rediscover Jesus as the One faithfully guiding each of us through life’s winding path.
“My ultimate prayer is that ‘The Reminder,’ would cause you to look again, and consecrate. That you would see God’s care for you and cause you to trust that He knows what you need. He has spoken the words that will sustain you no matter where The Way goes, He sees you and Jesus is the One faithfully leading each of us through.”

A Monumental Week: Grand Ole Opry & First U.S. Headlining Tour
Coinciding with the album launch, TAYA made her debut at the historic Grand Ole Opry, performing the soul-stirring title track “The Reminder” and her globally recognized anthem “Oceans.”
Later this month, she will also embark on her first-ever U.S. headlining tour, titled “Come Into The Light,” featuring support from celebrated worship artists including Joe L Barnes, Leeland, Tiffany Hudson, and Mack Brock.
