Sinach Named Top Christian Songwriter: Holds #1 Spot for 12 Weeks in a row

Nigerian Gospel icon Sinach is currently the Industry’s #1 Christian songwriter as she retains the No. 1 spot on Billboard Chart for 12 weeks in a row and counting. The renowned worship leader is the first and only woman to achieve this feat on Billboard’s Weekly Chart for Christian songwriters.

With a large and ever-growing global fan base from over 150 countries, Sinach has written over 200 songs, including her ground-breaking and popular anthem “Way Maker.”

Originally recorded by Sinach in 2015, “Way Maker” is a regular anthem in churches around the world today and has been covered by notable worship leaders worldwide including Michael W. Smith whose version held the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Christian Airplay Chart for three weeks.

“Way Maker” was also named the NO. 2 Nigerian song of the decade on popular streaming platform YouTube with over 149 million views.
