Role Model Records Adds Lord Badu to Labels Roster

Role Model Records is pleased to welcome Lord Badu to its roster alongside Shope, Dru Bex and Juliet Oh. The Toronto-based artist looks to bring a consistent blend of traditional hip hop, contemporary flows and an innovative insight to what he calls “Christian Excellence”.

“These guys are solid in the faith and just dope artists in general,” Badu says. “They have a resume of being around for seven years making Christ centered music and I’m just so glad to be part of that legacy“.

“I first connected with Lord when he sent me an email with his music, asking for feedback,” Sola says. “His delivery took me back to when East coast rap ruled. That’s what I grew up on so I was instantly blown away. I kept my eye on Lord for several years to see if he would stay consistent and he did. After that I reached out again and because of the relationship we already had it only made sense to keep the relationship going on in a professional manner.“
