Good News: Hilda Baci Breaks Guinness World Record for ‘Longest Cooking Time’

Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey popularly known as Hilda Baci, has officially broken the Guinness World Record for the “longest cooking time by an individual”.

In the early hours of Monday morning, (May 15th, 2023), Hilda smashed the 87 hours 45 minutes record set by the current Guinness World Record holder, Lata Tondon which was achieved in 2019.

The remarkable journey to greatness which began on the 11th of May has sparked reactions on social media with celebrities from different spheres of life showering her with congratulatory messages.

The Restauranteur is taking no breaks in outshining her latest feat as she is one course hitting the 96 hours originally set since the beginning of her adventure. Currently cooking past the 91st-hour mark, the Akwa Ibom-born remarkable milestone has garnered global attention with plenty of plaudits still to come.
