Highlights from The Experience 2020 (Global Edition) l #TE15G
The 15th edition of the annual mega-concert – “The Experience Lagos” has officially been concluded during the early hours of Sat, Dec 12, 2020.
Following the decision to take a virtual approach to maintain the yearly tradition of worship via the groundbreaking Gospel event, the organizers ensured no stone was unturned in delivering a spectacle as we experienced worship virtually for the first time since the inception of the program.
Highly celebrated Nigerian gospel artistes – Ada Ehi, Mercy Chinwo, and Eben open the event with intense worship, with indigenous artist Tope Alabi adding her spice to a grand opening.
Music legend Don Moen from his base in Nashville USA was joined by other amazing gospel music crooners; Travis Greene from the US, Matt Redman from the UK, Sonnie Badu from Accra, Ghana; Paul Baloche from New York, USA; Chevelle Franklyn in Kingston, Jamaica; Lawrence Johnson, Priscilla Campbell-Jones and Tina Brookes also lent their voice from London, in the United Kingdom. There were also additional vocal performances by the Potters House Choir in Dallas, USA, and the Maori Choir from Auckland, New Zealand.
Sonnie Badu delivered his masterpiece “Pillar of Fire” as he led viewers with heartwarming worship, Matt Redman also delivered his popular rendition “Jesus Your Name”, Onos Ariyo came through with “Alagabara,” while Don Moen reminded us of the faithfulness of God with his evergreen tune – “God is Good”.
Renowned worship leader and Dove Award winner, Sinach came through as she “Sing Hallelujah,” followed by Nathaniel Bassey who lifted “The Son of God” high with his popular anthem, paired with powerful performance/ministration of “Yeshua Hamashiach,” from his latest album, The King is Coming,
Brazilian singer Ana Paula Valadão and South African poet Nokwethemba Mchunu made their inspiring debut in this year’s event while Hillsong United added a class of touch to what will be remembered as many a totally different Experience Concert obviously different from past editions.
Other performances at the event include Segun Obe, Chee, Eno Michael, Planet Shakers, Nathaniel Bassey, Sinach, William Mcdowell, and more.
