‘Favorite Son’: Jonathan McReynolds Lands Lead Role in New BET+ Original Movie
Grammy-Award winner, gospel recording artist, and songwriter Jonathan McReynolds has landed a lead role in the much anticipated BET+ new Original Movie “Favorite Son” which is due for streaming on May 6th, exclusively on BET+.
“Favorite Son,” directed by Robin Givens who also made an appearance in the movie, is adapted from the Tiffany L. Warren novel of the same title. The new movie tells the story of two gospel-singing Twin-brothers struggling to find the right balance between their life, love, faith, and belief while under the scrutiny of their father, a megachurch Reverend.
Other notable personalities in the movie include; Rotimi, E Roger Mitchell, Keke Wyatt, Sereyah Loren Lott, Lisa Arrindell, Singer/Songwriter Anthony Evans.
Mcreynolds new movie role follows up with his recent achievement in the Grammys last month (March 15) as he emerges best in a competitive category at the 63rd Annual Awards Premiere Ceremony for Best Gospel Performance/Song for his Billboard Gospel No. 1 hit single “Movin’ On.”
