GMusicPLus.Com :: BOLUWADURO, thank you for taking out time to allow us interview you!

You are truly an amazing gospel minister and your caliber of talent and grace in the musical ministry is iconic!!

We love your sound, your voice, your message, and we believe its something you have definitely been called to do!

We were opportuned to attend this year’s edition of ‘A Date With The King’ which held on Oct 1st, Wow! it was Awesome! Listening to you minister LIVE was another experience. We heard spirit-filled songs and were blessed!

We could certainly go on and on,but for now, we want to get to know BOLUWADURO!

Can you please share your Story ? Who is BOLUWADURO and how did it all start ?

Boluwaduro — Thank you so much GMusicPLus, a big God bless you.

I give glory, honour and praises to the Lord God Almighty who says a thing and brings it to pass.

To me the music ministry is a call I heeded years ago. At age 7, I joined the choir in my grandma’s church ‘Christ Apostolic Mission Church’ where I was actually the youngest amongst others.

Singing was something I loved right from my tender age and thanks to my parents ‘Mr and Mrs Ishola’ who had always supported me. My dad especially who is a music lover had all kinds and genres of music record discs which I listened to and learnt to sing even in parts after great songs from the likes of ABBA, Boney M, Skeeter Davies,Jim Reeves, The Everly Brothers to mention just a few..

Locally, I listened endlessly to great songs from Akeeb Kareem, Haruna Ishola, S. Aka, Tunde Nightengale, Kayode Fashola, early works of Chief Ebenezer obey, King Sunny Ade and great gospel songs from those I couldn’t just resist; the CAC good women Choir (Ibadan – mama Fasoyin), Ayo ni o, Ayewa (Amona), CAC choir (yaba) and several others..These were the songs me and my siblings listened to day and night which helped in making us who we are today, Glory to Jesus!

I experienced a higher and deeper relationship with God when I joined Faith fountain Christian Centre, Olowora in 1995 now ‘His purpose Church’ – Pastor Tony Olukoyede, Where I served as one of the worship leaders and learnt a lot about knowing the Lord. As time went by, during my days in the higher institution I joined the RCCG, where I’m presently still serving.

I got married in May 2003 to a very wonderful man,brother and friend who believes in my God given Vision even more than i do. we are blessed with three great children, I call them God’s heritage.

GMusicPLus.Com :: Who are your greatest Musical influences ?

Boluwaduro ::— Firstly, The HolySpirit ; He has been my teacher, helper & comforter all through my musical career.

Then a woman of God I really appreciate and honour, Prophetess Juanita Bynum, she inspires me musically and spiritually. Also Pastor Donnie McClurkin and many more great gospel ministers..

GMusicPLus.Com :: What do you want listeners to take away from an experience with your music ?

Boluwaduro — Simple! Jesus is my message, Heaven is the goal and no one comes unto the Father except through Him (Jesus) ‘John 14:6’.

I want every Listener to encounter Jesus, His love and learn to have a true acceptable heart of worship and gratitude.

GMusicPLus.Com :: We noticed a recent addition to your Name on Facebook BOLUWADURO & GLA, Who’s GLA ?

Boluwaduro — Wow! The GLA, hmmm like the yorubas wil say “Eni kan Kii je awade – a single person cannot say here we are”, so likewise Boluwaduro.

For many years I Prayed to God for answers to some questions I had in my heart; “Who am I to work with?, Who are my crew members”, I didn’t get any response in a long while.

Then In 2013, two pianist came but no drummer, so I kept praying in 2014 till we had more than enough crew members, back up vocalists, musicians and even IT experts, God had brought them from different places to join me to do His work with the same grace and passion..

They are called “God’s living altars (GLA)”, carriers of God’s grace and glory and i’m so blessed to have them.

GMusicPLus.Com :: This year’s edition of ‘A Date With The King’ was Awesome! Tell us more about it.

Boluwaduro —Wow! What an awesome God, ‘A Date with Jesus King of Nations 2015’ indeed was a success in every way, far better and much more glorious than 2014.

It’s been from glory to glory and still eyes have not seen, nor ears heard what the Lord has prepared for those who love him and are called according to His purpose.

I still owe God praise for His faithfulness this year and I will be eternally grateful to him.

The theme: YOUR BANNER I RAISE HIGH was taken from the book of John 3: 14-15 where we learnt to look onto Jesus alone, the author and the finisher of our faith. Also, living our lives as a banner showing forth God’s love and grace.

I Thank God for His awesome presence as many people mended their ways with the Him, and also for the massive turnout of over 26,000 Listeners via our online streaming on Amen radio.

I can go on and on mentioning God’s faithfulness over this year’s edition.

GMusicPLus.Com :: Any new projects, Music, live DVDs/CDs in the works etc.

We asked because we WANT you to say YES! 🙂

Boluwaduro — YES! We have our next project almost ready for release. By the grace of God it should be in our homes, cars, offices and chapels by Christmas.

Also, DVDs for ‘A Date With Jesus king of Nations 2015’ + glimse from the past editions will be compiled and made available for distribution.

GMusicPLus.Com :: What should we expect from your upcoming project/album

Boluwaduro —A Total experience with Jesus entirely.

Beautiful songs inspired by the holy spirit, life changing lyrics and fresh sounds from heaven, all put together by God in us as a group.

We have given Him back the songs he gave to us and I can boldly say to everyone that will listen to the songs ‘Your lives can never remain the same positively’

Its a 13 track album and the title will be unveiled soon..

GMusicPLus.Com :: You are a wife, mother, Presenter and music minister… How do you juggle all these successfully?

Boluwaduro — Interesting question there, well, I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.

Faced with the challenges of being a wife and mother is quite overwhelming not to talk of career and then Ministry but thanks to God I conveniently juggle these roles and responsibilities by His grace.

More so, I have a very supportive man as a partner who believes in the Vision even more than myself. He gives all the support necessary for me to be who God wants me to be, he understands me and backs me up in everything.

Knowing this I am so confident cos he is carrying out his God given role in my life as a husband, protector, companion and a friend.
