Gospel music enthusiasts and Afro-fusion lovers are in for a thrilling experience as Deacon Efosa, born Efosa Odaro, makes a grand entrance into the gospel music scene with his highly anticipated debut single, “Super Power” (also known as Power Pass Power). Infused with vibrant Amapiano elements, this dynamic track redefines contemporary gospel sounds while delivering a powerful message of faith, transformation, and divine authority.
A Musical Journey Rooted in Passion and Faith
Deacon Efosa’s journey into music began in 2002 when he recorded his first song as an amateur in Badagry, influenced by reggae and calypso through his uncle. His passion for songwriting blossomed at Federal Government College, where he reimagined popular songs and performed at school events. Initially drawn to secular music with influences like Tupac, he formed the group Big Boys while studying at the University of Port Harcourt, eventually releasing an album titled That Kind Thing. However, technical challenges led to a pause in his music career in 2013.
During his hiatus, Efosa deepened his faith and was ordained a deacon in Christ Embassy, where he has served since his teenage years. In 2024, he received a divine call to return to music—not for personal fame, but to glorify God and spread the gospel through his sound.
The Birth of “Super Power”
In December 2024, Efosa recorded a collection of gospel tracks, with “Super Power” emerging as a standout. Inspired by the miraculous authority found in the name of Jesus and influenced by Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s teachings, the song highlights God’s power to heal, transform lives, and perform miracles.
With its infectious Afro-fusion beat and energetic Amapiano groove, Super Power is not just a song—it’s a faith declaration, celebrating the divine strength believers have through Christ. Get ready to dance and be uplifted as Deacon Efosa brings a fresh, spirit-filled sound to the gospel music scene.
