Opens Up about Sexual Child Abuse
Platinum-selling artist and songwriter, Dante Bowe is the cover star for issue 7 of Grace Magazine, a digital faith, fashion, and lifestyle publication outfit. In this new edition, Dante opens up about his testimony of ‘Freedom,’ from been sexually abused as a child by a church elder, more.
Bowe, who is a member of the Bethel Music and the Maverick City Music collective, revealed in detail the ecstatic mood that accompanied his desire to be part of the project.
“When I saw the cover, the freedom text and me on the sofa, I just got this conviction and had to come back. So I called my team to get me on the phone to GRACE Magazine. I just felt like I had to open up to you about my testimony – it’s the biggest freedom point of my life,” Dante explained.
Dante exclusively disclosed the various experiences that surrounded his past and how he feels sharing his testimony overcome their stigma, negativity and depression. “I was molested by a church elder when I was super young. I was ten years old, and it went on for a few years. That was my first encounter of anything of that nature, and it opened me up to so many things,” disclosed Dante to Grace Magazine.
Dante Bowe’s struggle as a victim of sexual child abuse coupled with the shame he battled to contend with, highlights the victorious testimony of the energetic singer who serves as a worship pastor at Addereth Church in Columbus, Georgia.
