KB Announces New Album “His Glory Alone II,” Set for Aug 11 Release
Coming off the heels of a successful book launch, Dove-Award-winning and Billboard chart-topping rapper KB has announced his highly-anticipated fifth studio album, His Glory Alone II (Sony’s RCAI/Provident Entertainment) set to drop on August 11 and fans can pre-save the album now. In support of the album, the Southside Rabbi podcast co-host surprised fans with the first single from the forthcoming project, “Glory 2 Glory,” a hip-hop spin on the Fred Hammond gospel classic, available now.
“A lot of us grew up singing ‘Glory To Glory To Glory’ by Fred Hammond; It was a cross-cultural charismatic hit,” explains KB. “The song itself is a good record to sum up what this album is about. The first album His Glory Alone was Glory to God and this album is Glory 2 Glory. There is always more when you are talking about God. He is infinitely inspiring, forgiving, loving, every aspect of God is infinite and deeper. You never get to the top of the ladder, it just gets more beautiful. When we do get things in this life that are glorious like success, even those pale in comparison to Jesus and I would give up all of those for Jesus.”
“Glory 2 Glory” is one of 16 tracks on His Glory Alone II, many of which listeners will hear music influences from not just hip hop, but gospel, afro-beats, and soul with a few worshipful ballads in between. Serving as the sequel to his previous record released in 2020, KB partnered up with producers WEARETHEGOOD, Scootie Wop, and Cardec Drums to deliver a full-length project that expresses the infiniteness of God. Additionally, KB peels back the layers of his own heart and journey, facing childhood trauma, abandonment, confusion, and doubt with unapologetic transparency.

“I never talked about my life like this on a record,” shares KB. “When you listen to it, I hope you hear and understand the passion of a broken, but committed man. Maybe you can see yourself in this man. That’s who I am. I’m a son whose wounds are being healed as a father. I’m a husband who is serious about leading in my household. I’m an institution builder who cares about helping people.”
Shortly after his album debuts, KB will embark on the Summer Worship Nights arena tour alongside friends Phil Wickham and Brandon Lake.
