Tasha Cobbs Leonard – The Church I Grew Up In (Live)
Powerhouse Gospel singer, Tasha Cobbs Leonard releases a new song “The Church I Grew Up In” off of her live-recorded new album, HYMNS, due on October 7th, via Motown Gospel. The comforting, heartwarming track is preceded by the project’s lead single, “The Moment“.
“The Church I Grew Up In” gives listeners a glimpse of Tasha’s life growing up as she shares a liberating story of the positive impact of the Church on her life, contributing to who she is today.
“…If you wanna know where my history began, If you wanna know why I am the way I am, It’s the church I grew up in,” she sang “…From wedding vows to funerals The church bells they still ring It’s where I learned the gospel, And my mom taught me to sing”
“..You can try to tell me that the church isn’t alive today, But I know it is, So I’ll tell my kids,” the Grammy-Award-winning songstress added in the song as she reassures us that the Church is still alive today.
