Grammy Awards 2020: Kirk Franklin, For King & Country Win Big!
The 62nd annual Grammy Awards ceremony took place on Sunday night Jan. 26th, at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The 2020 Grammys which marks Alicia Keys’s return as host of the award ceremony, are in the books!
Gospel music legend, Kirk Franklin continues his winning streak as he bags the award for “Best Gospel Performance/Song” (Love Theory) and “Best Gospel Album” (Long Live Love).
“Wow. Thank you,” Kirk said. “Gospel music has so many incredible talents and I’m so humbled to be in that category with some of the greatest to ever do it.”
Australian Christian pop duo – for King & Country emerged winners for the Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song and Best Contemporary Christian Music Album (Burn The Ships).
Best Roots Gospel Album was awarded to American singer Gloria Gaynor, marking her second Grammys in her career forty years after her first (For I Will Survive).
