Mojisola Drops Heartfelt Single “In His Name”

Gospel songstress Mojisola makes a remarkable comeback as she follows up her widely received debut single – ‘Most High God’ with the world premiere of ‘In His Name’.

‘In His Name’ is a soulful mid-tempo Gospel ballad filled with fiery vocals, with it’s source/inspiration from greats like – Whitney Houston, Cece Winans, Juanita Bynum and Shirley Ceaser – some of Mojisolas’ greatest mentors.

The Registered Nurse, wife and mother of two has through the years always found a way to juggle and balance a hectic work & family schedule whilst stealing moments in the day to write music.

The single – ‘In His Name’ was birthed in a difficult period in Mojisola’s life when she lost both her grandmother and father-in-law within a 2-week space, the heartfelt offering draws credits from her favorite passage of the scripture – Psalms 27 and Isaiah 54:17 as the anchors she needed during those dark times.

Speaking on the single, she shared –

“I would find myself recording melodies on my phone during breaks at work, after tucking the kids in bed and hubby is asleep, I would stay up for a few hours into the night writing music

“I remember reciting Psalm 27 at work, thinking about all the things going on in my life at that moment and I found myself singing the first line: The Lord is my light, over and over till it lifted my spirit and I knew immediately that God was about to give me a song out of this. 

‘In His Name’ became my song and source of light during one of the darkest periods in my life.”
