The Experience 11 – Revealing Jesus

The year 2016 can’t be complete without a concert that has shaped the music industry and a nation for a decade. A concert packed with excitement and much fanfare.

THE EXPERIENCE is an annual interdenominational gospel concert that features some of the best-known talents of our time. The concert which debuted in December 2006 is convened and hosted by Pastor Paul Adefarasin of House on The Rock Church.

The Experience 2016 edition is set to be as colourful as the previous years with first time appearances like Travis Greene and Smokie Norful. This year’s theme is tagged “Revealing Jesus” and the city of Lagos is agog about it.

A project which started off with many critics regarding it as an event of “overexcited people” and saying it would lose steam in a short time, Has however, become an event stamped in the heart of all Nigerians (even non-believers). It has become a place where the body of Christ have come together to worship and praise the Most High God.

Every year is packed with over 500,000 people filling the Tafawa Balewa Square and its environs to worship the one true God. It is an event that breaks down social class, tribal differences, and religious differences.

The concert starts at 7pm on the Friday, 2nd December 2016 till dawn. The venue is the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS) Onikan, Lagos. Popular names who are set to grace this year’s edition include Travis Greene, Don Moen, Donnie Mcclurkin, Cece Winans, Smokie Norful, Onos, Tim Godfrey, Samsong, Tope Alabi, Chioma Jesus, Midnight Crew and a host of others. The event has always been free with maximum security and this year promises to remain so.
